Where’s the safest place to be from SARS-CoV-2 and Covid-19?

Here at Triune Centre we enjoy creating lists with countries that have absolutely no right to be next to each other. So we decided to start tracking the safest countries in the world right now from Covid-19. Here it is:

Once again, we remind our readers we do NOT use the New Cases data point as the asymptomatic nature of SARS-CoV-2 infection renders new positive case data at this time not very reliable indicators of the underlying infected population. We prefer to take mortality statistics and extrapolate from there. With an incubation period on average of 14-17 days, any country with zero deaths after 30 days probably has a positive case count in the population of less than 100.

There is one caveat – young, healthy and skinny populations are showing to be not as vulnerable to Covid-19, and hence might show up as “safe” in our survey above as they will not surface in mortality statistics. India is an example of Covid-19 having a much smaller impact there than anticipated.

Also, some of the countries in the above list do have ongoing civil conflicts or security concerns, which you should still be aware of. So maybe don’t go flying your private jet into South Sudan just yet.
