Epidemic Model Update

One area of concern today: 3 consecutive days of increases in new detection. As the government ramps up testing of foreign workers, will we see a similar situation as in Singapore? Have also been receiving WhatsApps warning about our illegal foreign worker population, which is untracked.

That being said, with only one mortality, our model’s overall downtrend in infected numbers continues. In fact, our model’s peak of 4,524 infected occured on 31 Mar 2020 with a secondary peak of 4,505 infected on 4 Apr 2020. The number has shown a slow and steady decline since then, and currently stands at 4,075 infected as at 10 Apr 2020.
